I like Campos' numbers and he's 6'4", 18 years old, and not obese. But I notice a lot of back peddling amongst Cashman and his supporters regarding this trade.

When the trade first happened, Pineda was a future #1.
Then he became the solid #2 that would compliment CC.
Then Cashman says, Pineda, with work, could develop into a #2.
Next it was "we only need him in the rotation so he can develop."
Now it's "there's still hope with Campo." LOL

You're not thinking straight. You can't evaluate a hitter after 7 at bats. That's just plain silly.

So sad that some fans are okay with the Yankees turning into the Atlanta Braves. Talk about lowering the bar. LOL

So, the GM is supposed to know that a player will develops tendinitis in spring training? Great logic.

Before ANY games are even played and you are calling it a failure? Silly, silly fair weather fan.

Fans like you would never question a GMs move even if the GM was Zippy the Chimp, because you know your place as a mere loyal fan. So you repeat your mantra; They know everything, and their decision making is impeccable. I'm happy you're content.

Wether Pineda pitches up in NY this year is completely irrelevant. Had the trade not been made, Montero probably would be in the same boat.

That's the ownerships job, not mine. It's their money, not mine, so they have to make that call.

"it's their money, not mine.".

That's all you need to repeat to yourself. It's good advice so you should follow it as well.

Perhaps a collection of toadies like you would be a good replacement. Someone that doesn't know that much about the game, but has faith that somehow things will turn out right.

Did Cashman know who would fill their DH spot when they traded Montero? No. He assumed there would be a quality DH on the market. Of course, he was were wrong, again... LOL
