Wow the Yankees started 0-3, the Red Sox are 1-4 so both these clubs are just full of minor leaguers according to your analysis.

Yeah, laugh at one of the most respected members of this MB community. BTW I totally agree with him so you can laugh at me too.

Without googling it can you even tell me who Jason Marquis is?

Like others I notice you don't know much about baseball

<Man, I remember when we used to have good trolls around here....like the fella who had the horse ass for his avatar, I believe he was bandit. And then there was "The Real" Megan Fox for a little while. Those were the good ole days. There is another reason the Twins need to be good again, the better the record, the better the trolls.

No dark one. They have bad records currently. More than likely ,records that will improve significantly. The reason being is they have quality players. The Twins on the other hand have a bad record with little chance of improvement because they are a bunch of minor leaguers.

This has to be the funniest thing I have seen a long time. Why on earth would somebody even wish to troll us in our present state? He must be just learning and wants to get his experience on some team that is really easy to find weakness. Then when he gets his "training wheels" off, he will be off to spread his new craft. Otherwise, this is one really sorry individual.....lol

p.s. by the way "sx"...it helps to prove the case when your MLB "profile" is completely blank.
(you have not learned the ways of the force young jedi)

Wow you folks are quite a group. Prone to nasty comments without reason. Unwilling to tolerate views other than your own. Emotion dominating your opinions with reality be damned. How do you know what my background is with respect to your determination that I know nothing about baseball? People who are easily flustered and attack others personally for differing opinions are sad individuals. Beginning to wonder if some family trees didnt fork around here. Maybe after a few more outings with the Twins scoring 1 run on 4 hits you folks will at least consider the idea that this version of the Twinkies is 1 very bad product.

<We all know that this team is bad...it is not as bad as it is playing right now, but bad none the less. Most of us are just tired of hearing the same old shit from several different people for the last year. After a while it gets pretty old and you are not bringing anything new to the table that we all haven't heard 1,000,000 times already. The proverbial "horse" is already beaten to death and now you jump in and dig the horse up and start molesting the corpse. And you wonder why people haven't exactly welcomed you with open arms here. It's nothing personal towards you believe me.

you know, there's this prevailing belief that EVERYTHING is a matter of opinion...many things are, and some things are not...

Saying that Mauer and Morneau are the only MLB caliber players we have in our starting 8 or 9, or however it was wrtitten, is not true...and it's not a matter of opinion, it's just not true, period.

I agree 100%. Saying that was absolutly ridiculous. I'm just letting him know that what he is saying today has already been said umpteen thousand times already. Not in regard to Mauer and Morneau but for our team not being the cream of the crop this year.

" Realistically the Twins are staring at about 45 wins this year."

Realistically, the Twins are 0-4...saying they will have the worst season in MLB history is a bit of a stretch.

Are you sure your name really isn't Davem? (Or was it Davem6?)

You are actually a God send to this message board...with the past season struggles and a lot of us taking jabs at each other, we ALL have banded together to agree that you are a troll and not a Twins fan!! Thanks!! (seriously!!)

Nicely put!

It's fine for us to rake on the club, but by goodness...they still be our team and this is our place!

Nobody else gets to come and upset the applecart....

Auto's list is major leaguers but the problem is we have those guys in bigger roles than they should.Carrol is a utility guy not a starter,we have 4th and 5th starters leading our rotation. Our closer is at best a setup guy.I could go on.

"now you jump in and dig the horse up and start molesting the corpse"

now that there is funny

It's the beginning of the season and things tend to get overblown. Later on a 4 game losing streak wouldn't be the world coming to an end.....in fact we'll probably see a few (cough cough) of those this year.

I didnt say anything to insult you in this thread. But apparently you want to play. So let's play.

Okay well willingham just hit 29 homers in a major league lineup last year.

Ryan Doumit hit .307 with some homers in an injury plagued season

Jamey Carroll has been with so many different MLB teams so it is no surprise he's on a major league roster

We got Capps in a trade from a major league team and i have no doubt that if the price is right, there are teams who'd take him and put him on their roster

The nats are all over Span's nuts and have been trying to get him from us since last july including all the week leading up to the deadline and during the winter meetings. so yeah he could play for them any day. they're a MLB team.

Swarzak is a serviceable swing man. He'd have absolutely no problem getting a job in the majors provided the team needed a swing man who could pitch in relief or a 5th starter role

Valencia just hit double digit homers in the major leagues last year, his average was down but his rookie year he hit .307

Pavano is an established vet with a track record of success. and could very easily be a target for trades as soon as this july! So, once again. no.

Baker is an established vet as well and has put up numbers consistent with a major league 4th starter. He could easily find another team.

Brian duensing has been effective everywhere you put him. Make him a late inning lefty, he does that well. he has had success in the rotation. he's done well in long relief.. Easily a major leaguer

Marquis is an established vet who's been pitching for YEARS. you simply havent heard of him because he's been in the national league which i suspect you don't get to watch much of.

Perkins- was great last year. If he becomes available he'd be in demand.

Liriano while shaky, has the ability to be dominant for long stretches. We'd have no problem, if the price was right, finding him a new team in a trade.

Lets see.. Matt capps has closed on every team he's been on, he's been a solid reliever everywhere he's been except for last year and would have absolutely no issue getting any sort of job in the back of a bullpen. is he a superstar, no but there ya go.

Hughes could easily fit as a bench option on a NL team looking for a pinch hitter.

So could burroughs.
