it's funny how no one is satisfied after discussions like this one. one of the biggest problems with the world today is sarcastic responses to other people and their opinions, beliefs, values, you name it. it seems that the only thing going for many people is their ability to be sarcastic. i do not envy these people. too bad they find humor in their inability to grow up.

Easy newbie! It was a lighthearted joke. Of course I wouldn't want that for anyone. It will happen for some though. What pap is saying though, is Yak has made it very clear he's not a believer. If it only stopped there. But no, he constantly degrades those of us who have faith in our savior. He thinks peole who believe in a Deity are ignorant, backwoods, uneducated hicks. In other words, he looks down upon us. You may feel the same way, however you need to learn to rake a joke and get over it.

Just commenting on what I see as a break down in communication.

Not exactly...he has a right to his beliefs, even if I don't agree with them...but this isn't about just this series of posts...or shellfish :)....it's about a long standing issue that will probably never change, and is mostly about a "blanket description" for those that don't share a like opinion.

In this case, I was offended by what I percieve as mockery to a religious picture...I have tried to, and will continue to try, to be respectful of what others believe...but I will also continue to voice my opinion...just as I did previously.

It's a shame because Yak is intelligent and gives good information. However, the way he conducts himself when people disagree with him is offputting.
