Baggs:

"Huff’s personal life is going through upheaval as well.

According to court records from Hillsborough County, Fla., his wife, Baubi, filed for divorce on Jan. 31. The couple has been married since 1997 and has two young sons. The latest case management conference between the parties was held April 11.

Huff’s tough upbringing has been well chronicled. He was 6 years old when his father, Aubrey II, was killed as an innocent bystander in a fatal shooting. Huff was raised by his mother, Fonda, a strong woman who bought him a batting cage on a supermarket deli worker’s salary while taking night classes to earn a degree in educational counseling."

You don't know sh*t what's going on his life. Don't just make that assumption...

I made an assumption at first and fully take it back...

How much do you know about anxiety disorder(s), their genesis, triggers, and who is/is not likely to experience them? I'm legitimately curious based on this comment.

"Huff was criticized in 2011 for his attitude and behavior in the clubhouse."

Huff did come to camp out of shape following the World Championship season. For that there is no excuse. However, there has never been ANYONE say he has had a behavior issue in the clubhouse.

They were just discussing it this morning on KNBR with Baggs. Huff has always been a good clubhouse guy through the good times and the bad. His teammates like him very much.

Respectfully disagree with you on this. You never know what triggers someone. Perhaps something like a dipsh*t reaction to a double play was enough for him. Maybe the guy does have pride in his profession and it keeps him sane and he can't perform because his brain is elsewhere. If the stories of his drinking and smoking are accurate, that certainly plays into his attempt to quell his demons. You just never know. Anxiety is awful and illogical and real.

wrong, krukow himself said on the morning show with murph and mac that his bad habits were wearing on the rest of the guys in the clubhouse...

Can we take a break from all the speculation please guys?

None of us has any idea what the issue is, so can we leave the distasteful comments out of it.

It's pretty disrespectful and he deserves better than to have his own fans talking about him like that.

We'll all find out soon enough.

I can not believe the crapola being spewed on this board. This is waaaay beyond baseball, this is a person's personal life in dissray. I am a huge antihuff guy right now but for crying out loud he is a man. And that man brought a Champinonship this orginization. Hate him if you want but I am disgusted with some of the things being said here.

I hope it all turns out well in the end.

This is incredibly sad. And to think he has to go through it publicly, so to speak, with strangers, no matter how well-meaning, dissecting and analyzing his life. It's a shame about his marriage as his wife seemed supportive of him, and they were married quite a while. That day on 2nd base his life came crashing down around him, it was the trigger. Wow, I wonder if Bochy knew about his problems? He must have known about the divorce. Bruce is a players' manager and a nice man, so it mystifies me as to why he wasn't more sensitive to Huff's on-going issues. That 2nd base assignment would have been tough for even the most well-adjusted player.

And since we're playing the Reds, I think it's important to note that their star first baseman, Joey Votto, went through a hellish experience a few years back after the sudden death of his father. He suffered from severe, debilitating depression and anxiety, and even had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance one night when the team was on the road in Arizona. But he went public with his problem, got help, and here is still is, doing great with a big, fat new contract. Sometimes, getting it all out in the open can be the best thing that can happen.
