I hope Huff recovers soon. He seems like a good club house dude.

I am not making fun of it or anything. My comment was very sincere and serious... From a human standpoint I don't wish those feeling on anybody... except maybe a Dodger.

Well I probably could have phrased it better.. sorry if the comment came off sarcastic or insincere...

"Maybe he is really feeling the pressure with Nate pretty much locking up the 3rd OF spot and Pill/Belt better alternatives at 1B as well as Posey starting 1B 1/5 to 2/5 starts... He sees his career coming to an end."

Or maybe it doesn't have anything to do with baseball.

Soca, it was not meant to be sarcastic at all, it seems to me that the situation would call for more patience until we know what the problems might be. That is all.

very very true... just an assumption and quite possibly an unfair one.

What an insult to people with real anxiety disorders. This is a clear case of bruised ego.

God, I hope he's not just dogging it!!!! I know my anxiety disorder was triggered by the death of my father, not because I was slumping at work!

-RIP-

Junior psychologist here but i think that's a sad situation for him. If he were just a cavalier p*rick drinking and smoking i don't think he would react emotionally to his poor play, topped off by his lack-of play at second base over the weekend (assuming there is not some other issue beyond 'baseball'). As another poster stated he was the toast of the town in 2010 and now most of us agree it's time for him to go. I think he actually does give a sh*t, can't show up as he would like, and it's showing itself with anxiety. I wish him nothing but the best.

The Veteran has Rookie Coping Skills. I bet its really Alcoholism, Prescription Meds, or some other substance messing with his Brain...

Nonetheless, I hope he gets better emotionally for him and his family, then on the field for his baseball brothers.

Go Huff, Go Giants.

You can never tell what is going on in the mind of another.

If this was a bruised ego don't you think he would have gone on the DL last year when his numbers were horrible?

I'm guessing this has very little to do with baseball. He is a person with real emotions (and issues) who just happens to play baseball on the major league level. That doesn't keep him from having real disorders/mental health problems. Some of his struggles recently in his profession could have made the problems more noticeable but I seriously doubt they are the cause.

Baggs:

"Huff’s personal life is going through upheaval as well.

According to court records from Hillsborough County, Fla., his wife, Baubi, filed for divorce on Jan. 31. The couple has been married since 1997 and has two young sons. The latest case management conference between the parties was held April 11.

Huff’s tough upbringing has been well chronicled. He was 6 years old when his father, Aubrey II, was killed as an innocent bystander in a fatal shooting. Huff was raised by his mother, Fonda, a strong woman who bought him a batting cage on a supermarket deli worker’s salary while taking night classes to earn a degree in educational counseling."

You don't know sh*t what's going on his life. Don't just make that assumption...

I made an assumption at first and fully take it back...

How much do you know about anxiety disorder(s), their genesis, triggers, and who is/is not likely to experience them? I'm legitimately curious based on this comment.
