1. we have no proof a lot of these guys are jacked up, but the guys size, numbers and the fact that he played with McGwire, and the fact that nobody knows his real age....just sorta sounds like a shady individual to me. Once again, that's just my opinion, so don't hate on me for that.
2. The fact that the Braves had months with winning percentages of .607 (May), .654 (June), .593 (July), and .654 (August) shows what an aberration and choke job that they pulled off with a .333 September (9-18). After a solid April (16-10), the Cardinals then played mediocre for a winning percentage of .586 (May), .423 (June), .500 (July), and .536 (August), before pulling off the aberration and epitome of the phrase "Hot at the right time" Setpember with a .692%. You're going to tell me that the Cardinals did NOT get hot at the right time? I don't care what their stats indicated all season, they weren't winning games. The ONLY reason they made the postseason was because they played nearly .700 ball in September and the Braves won 1/3 of their games. That's the ONLY reason...I'm not denying they didn't win the games they had to, but they were hot at the right time...that's our point...
3. I don't care about them hitting respectively with RISP. From May-August, the Cards played 110 games (OVER 2/3 of a season). Their W% was .509. The other two months (April, September), their W% was .654. They got hot at the right time, I don't know what else to tell you. They were a mediocre supbar team for the majority of the season. As for 2006, don't even get me started. That team won 83 games. In April and May of that season, they had W% of .680 and .607. for a combined % of .642. From June-September, they had W% of .360 (June), .577 (July), .464 (August), .413 (September). that is just awful. That's a combined W% of .444 out of 108 games (2/3 of the season). So this team played .360 in June, .577 in July, .464 in August, and .413 in September, and you don't think they got hot at the right time? They backed into the playoffs getting worst each month from June on, and got hot at the right time. You're making our points for us. I don't care how good they were with RISP, because they obviously weren't beating anybody.
4. Boston got hot in 2004. In 2007, they were probably the best team in baseball. The Rockies were the hottest team, riding that 21 wins out of 22 games into the World Series and got emberassed by a better team. The perfect example is the Rockies of a team who got hot, but perhaps got hot too soon in September (Although without getting hot that soon, they wouldn't have been there). Boston was a fantastic team that season. I said in 2004, they got hot at the right time. They lost game 3 19-8 and were losing in the 9th of Game 4....LOL...I'd say they got hot at the RIGHT EXACT moment, to be honest...And then they spanked your Cards that you have boner over...
