I just read the email contents between the three officials who chose to handle this in-house. I hope they all end up doing time as well.

One message: "The only downside for us is if message isn’t 'heard' and acted upon and we then become vulnerable for not having reported it, but that can be assessed down the road."

Hopefully they'll be assessing their options in prison.

More often than not, "down the road" becomes a reality. Something they should have considered.

They were more concerned with their reputations than the safety of children. The emails indict Paterno as well.

Fair, where did you read those? I tried to look it up. I could find Washington Post, Seattle Times, USA Today and Boston Globe stories which all referenced that CNN had reported...

I went to CNN and they said, "CNN does not have the purported e-mails. However, the alleged contents were made available to CNN."

So I'd just like to read the emails you read.

Not sure if Fair saw the original emails, but

ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2012/06/29/sandusky-e-mails-revealed/?hpt=ac_bn6

is a report that "includes" the contents of the emails and timelines. Seems like they did their homework, but as always, who knows without seeing the originals.

Thanks. That may all be completely accurate and at least two of those guys are on trial for perjury, as I recall. So it's certainly believable.

I'd just like to read the emails. Even on these reports, I hear CNN say that the source is "somebody familiar with the emails". Could be real; could be sketchy....I guess we'll find out at trial.

Speaking of CNN, did you know that the individual mandate was ruled unconstitutional?

The guy's dead, Joe. I think the time for "Oh Oh" is past.

That coach who actually witnessed one of the acts in the shower should have ended it right then and there. Asking the young boy to wait for him outside while he tends to Sandusky. By that I mean, leaving Sandusky on the floor of the shower and then take care of the child. If I was that young coach, Sandusky would have been told by ME to leave Penn State and never show his face again--------until the trial which should have happened much sooner than later.

I read it on an AP release. The emails haven't been released but allegedly the emails were quoted by someone with access. I should have mentioned that.

Hopefully, the actual emails will be made public.

McQueary should have called the police, but telling Penn St. officials should have been sufficient in ending the matter.

"the actual emails will be made public."

Yes, at the trial. Until then, they should not be. IMO

"allegedly"

I keep hearing that word in this regard. True, often when there's smoke, there's fire. I am not denying the distinct possibility that the emails are real, but CNN doesn't have the greatest record, IMO. Remember....first to declare Gore won Florida ("waiter, an order of crow"); first to declare the mandate was deemed unconstitutional. There have been others.

I want to see the emails released at the trial, and if they are as "alleged", I'd like to know why the former President (Spanier) hasn't been charged with anything, which he hasn't; at least I don't think so. It sounds like he might be as guilty as the other two, if true.
