Kalish and Nava have options to use, but Sweeney does not. I don't see any way he gets let go. Don't forget we have Lillibridge who should go before anyone without options. In fact, although he has more talent than McDonald, I am surprised he wasn't the first to go, just because he will go soon and was the last to come here.

Like I said the other day, Lillibridge can take the bus down to pawtucket with McDime....McD should just wait till monday, they can go together!

I actually had a better idea. Since Lillibridge is from the State of Washington, and since the team is in Seattle, they could have just gave him a ticket home.

The only reason I can't see him go, is his contract. He is signed for two years and $3,000,000. I know he's not worth it, but I can't see them eating that much. I am sure they will try to unload him by trade.

I don't believe Nava has options. Lillibridge is an interesting point, He can play all the infield positions but would be only a phone call away. Who goes for Bailey? my preference is Atchinson especially with Cook or Morales slotting as long men. Who are your 5 starters? after Buchholz returns you now have seven. I think Cook moves to the pen but Morales has pitched great.

I may be wrong about Nava, since they dropped him from the 40 man roster last year, but I believe he and Kalish did. As for the starters, If Cook and Morales keep this up, it might be hard to eliminate Beckett, Lester, Buchholz or Doubront. But how many lefty's is too much. Not a bad problem to have.

Frankly, I would not be surprised if they didn't shop Beckett in July. Could clear some payroll!

I think I might move Doubront to the pen and keep Cook in the rotation. But we have to see how Beckett does coming back before we move forward.

Nava does have options, but the way he is going they will get around it via trading. I can't see him going down.

I can see Sweeney getting traded. He's versatile but has no pop, and once Crawford is back, no room for him unless Nava goes down again.

Yes, thats just what I am getting at. Anyone who has OBS of .420 plus is not going down even with options. Sweeney could very well go in a trade, Nava could go but I don't see him going down and everyday we get one day closer to getting some of these guys back and also closer to the trade deadline so that helps.
