I think so, he was hovering around .300 at the end of 2004, but then went on a slump.

Well, maybe now that the contract situation is resolved, Lee will hit a little better. But does this mean fewer opportunities for Barrett if Lee starts knocking guys in?

True, they should be anyway. Neifi has 4 hits in 7 AB's. Project that out for 600 AB's and it's over 340 hits. Not too bad for a third-string second baseman.
